The official BitTorrent search engine is up. I don’t know how Bram Cohen is going to fight off the inevitable lawsuit, but a few minutes fiddling with the thing tells me one thing:
It’s fast.
Fast like Google is fast… maybe even faster.

well i got internal server problem. Could it be that it is overloaded?
I think it got overloaded after slashdot linked it. Typical of the slashdot crowd. That probably explains the slow speed / server errors.
I don’t think they were prepared for the sheer amount of traffic. Ever since btefnet went down ‘net users have been prowling for a replacement, and it looks like this is it.
Then again, all it seems to do is consolidate search results from multiple bittorrent sites, something that other (slower) torrent search engines already do.
