Women prefer men other women want
Posted by Ray @ 4:00 pmI love it when scientists comes up with obvious hypotheses, diligently test them, and then release the results to the world. Like “Eating Fatty Food Raises Chances of Heart Disease.”
Today’s obvious result is: Women prefer men desired by others.
Just having a few women smile at a man in public is enough to make other women consider him much more desirable, according to researchers.
British psychologists, led by Benedict Jones of the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, have discovered that, when sizing up a man, a woman takes her cues from other women around him. The more females she sees smiling at a man, the likelier she is to consider the guy a good catch.
Discovered? Hah! We didn’t need a research team to discover that one, thank you very much. Deep within our gut, men already know this. That’s why we hang out with stupid but pretty girls, even if we don’t like you: it’s like a giant billboard advertisement to all women in visual range. That’s why when we check other girls out while with our girlfriends, other girls look back in an appraising manner: while we were single, none of you chicks gave a damn.
Hell, that’s why some of us got a girlfriend in the first place.
…
Aw come on baby, you know I wasn’t talking about you…
