Incredible Origami
Posted by Ray @ 12:02 amI’ve known about complex origami for some time, ever since Robert Lang showed off his beautiful mathematically generated origami pieces. This, for example, is the famed Miura-Ken beauty rose, a strikingly realistic origami rose with a deceptively simple crease pattern:

But, as usual, it takes a Japanese man to bring complex origami to obsessive, absurd, and beautiful levels.
This is Kamiya Satoshi’s white dragon. It’s made from a 2m x 2m sheet of white paper. Remember folks, no cutting.

Watch him fold a phoenix. It takes him hours.
