Your website is like pie, they are sweet and cute. I’ve just walking from every page to page until I met hot topic in this page. From first impression, I underestimate your topic ideas, but it is my fault, sorry for thinking this (I told you what I thought in my mind). This is my bad behavior, sorry to hear that. Although it was my bad sign for future, but I realize that my mind can be used for other experimental research with you. Please notice that I write this comment based on true story, and you are the chosen one to make this decision. I want you to become my partner in desired subject, we can research together with our skills, and you get the advantage by getting new experience with me. Sorry for giving my invitation on this comment page, but if you don’t mind, you can give me your opinion about my comment, I’m interested in developing your website as big site, so you can use it as your passive income.

Settlers 7 was cracked and available pretty much the same day it was released. That game kinda sucked. The cracktro was more entertaining then the game. Seriously, dont buy the game, dont play the game, just go watch the Razor1911 cracktro. Enjoy that for free. It's far superior entertainment.

Maybe playing online against real people is more fun then single player. In which case I say great!! Get a Ubi account and play online. Now you need an internet connection to play against people so the Online DRM aspect is all good and makes sense.

The disturbing trend here IMO is the whole facebook connection. I cant remember if Settlers 7 had some kinda "Facebook Like This Button" But this drive to make games that you play online with friends, use viral marketing to spread it and get little bonuses that you post to facebook in game because you are online is retarded.

You don't need to make a good game for gamers if you can make retarded junk for the FARMVILLE retards out there. That is what Setllers 7 just might be. Junk for the Facebook/Farmville tards. A chance to test a new drm/gameplay concept that is tied up online. If catering to that market earns them a little more money then catering to true gamers then good for them.

It's clear that the the author of the article doesnt care about getting a golden cow and telling all his friends about it. He wants to game hard, all night, solo, even without an internet connection. Hopefully the game industry will continue to make games for "US"

I also want awesome multiplayer games. If I need an internet connection to play wow or battlefield then STEAM is the perfect model. Now I can have all my games with me, everywhere I go and a community to play with. I lose my puter, burn it, crash it, whatever. I just go to steam and thay got all my gear waiting to be re installed. no disks required. I just gotta remember my email. Oh ya, I can also lend my games to my friends and they can enjoy them online. We just cant both play at the same time.

Sure you can play a cracked version of battlefield bad company 2, but the whole point is the online competition. Whether you bought it or cracked it. the single player is just a demo IMO. You are gonna pay to play. If you like it. How can you not.. :)

Far Cry 2 was wicked. Re introduce the far cry 1 stealth meter, Make that even more massively multiplayer and I'll pay monthly to go pwn online.

Anyways I guess my point is that ubisoft's new drm totally sucks as hard as the game they made it for. I agree with the author, but i think what he is missing is that the game was not made for people like him or I. They don't care if we are happy, we are not their target market with this one. It's an experiment in catering to farmville/facebook tards. I could be wrong but thats what I think.

Anyways, I hope they just keep making great games that we will line up to buy. In fact, I want awesome games that I can download, never need a disk and will always have cuz they will never lose my copy.

There is no legal way to avoid the DRM. Download the game? Copyright infringement. Don't do it. Get a crack? Bypassing a technological protection measure. Don't do it.

Seriously, don't pirate it. That just gives companies like Ubisoft more reason to cry and whine while they shaft us.
